Ferra Executive Search is pleased to partner with the Allegheny Health Network (AHN) to recruit their Lead Academic Medical Oncologist for their brand new Academic Cancer Center.
This leader will work collaboratively with the Johns Hopkins Kimmel Cancer Center and Allegheny Health Network to establish this center. This collaboration was initially established in 2014 and designed to foster clinical accomplishments, medical education, and a broad range of cancer research initiatives. The organizations work together on an array of initiatives that will support cancer care and research.
We are looking for a division leader or co-leader at NCI designated Comprehensive Cancer Center with a preferred focus in: Medical oncology with a disease site focus of Hematology, Lung, GI/GU to help lead this brand new academic cancer center located in Pittsburgh, PA.
- The ability to lead Clinical trials, including federal, industry and investigator initiated
- Experience and expertise in genomics, targeted therapy and immunotherap
- The ability to have focus research programs that integrate into the AHN Cancer Institute disease site structure in working across the genomic lab/ translational lab
Experience and expertise in clinical care and training of residents, fellows and students
Experience in program oversite with program lab research leaders
The preferred candidate is a Medical Oncologist with expertise in Clinical and Translational Research

Recent history as lead investigator on multi-site sponsored Phase II/III trial
Active PI on investigator initiated trial(s)
Likely research focus: Immunotherapy, Liquid biopsy (circulating DNA / tumor cells) or Genetics / Epigenetics
